On 28/05/2026, Tay Do Steel Co., Ltd. had the honor of welcoming a delegation including the leadership board, doctors, and lecturers from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – VNU-HCM for a visit, working session, and the official signing of an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding). This event marks an important milestone in the strategy of connecting businesses and universities, aiming to improve training quality and develop human resources for the heavy industry sector.

During the meeting, both sides had in-depth discussions on directions for companionship and mutual support to enhance production capacity, promote research, and apply new technologies in future operations.
To provide the delegation with the most authentic and comprehensive view, Tay Do Steel’s leadership and technical management team guided them on a field survey of the entire production line at the factory. This is an important stepping stone for the university’s experts and lecturers to understand the operating model, coordination process, and actual production activities of the enterprise.

At the meeting, Tay Do Steel representatives affirmed their commitment to creating optimal conditions for students from the Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Electronics, and Materials Technology faculties to have opportunities for internships, hands-on experience, and practical work at the company. The enterprise aims to build structured observation and internship programs to help students accumulate valuable practical experience while still in school.
On the side of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – VNU-HCM, university representatives expressed their desire to maintain the relationship and expand more in-depth cooperation programs for other training disciplines. At the same time, the university’s doctors and engineers also proposed participating in research and coordinating with the enterprise to improve and optimize Tay Do Steel’s current production technologies.

Human resource development: Building a professional practice environment, creating opportunities for students in various disciplines to gain direct exposure at one of the largest steel factories with one of the most professional operating processes in the Mekong Delta.
Narrowing the gap between academia and reality: Promoting the linkage model through the “Enterprise Semester” program, transforming theoretical knowledge from the classroom into practical action in industrial production, thereby preparing to supply the market with a generation of engineers capable of quickly adapting to work.
